NANS NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF SPORTS AND EDO JCC PAYS THANK YOU AND WORKING VISIT TO THE MANAGEMENT OF AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY, EKPOMA
The National Director of Sports of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comr. Ojumoola Miracle Timileyin along side with the NANS JCC Chairman(Comr. Yakubu Odion) and his executive on Friday, 26th June, 2026, paid a heartfelt Thank You and Working Visit to the management of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, an institution that played a significant role in the journey that led to his emergence as the NANS National Director of Sports.
The visit carried deep personal and professional significance for Comr. Ojumoola Miracle Timileyin. From his days of aspiring for the position at the Zonal level, the management and community of Ambrose Alli University stood firmly behind him, offering guidance, encouragement, and critical logistical support that proved invaluable at every stage of his journey. That support did not waver as he progressed to contest and eventually emerge victoriously at the National level.
Having now assumed office as the NANS National Director of Sports, Comr. Ojumoola considered it not only appropriate but a matter of honour and gratitude to return to Ambrose Alli University, to look the management in the eye and say, sincerely and officially, thank you.
The meeting commenced with the formal introduction of the NANS delegation, led by Comr. Benard Julius(NANS JCC PRO). The National Director of Sports expressed deep and heartfelt appreciation to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Eunice Omonzejie, for her unwavering support, motherly disposition, and the guidance she extended to him both at the zonal and national levels of his aspirations.
Comr. Ojumoola noted with admiration that the Vice Chancellor's leadership has firmly positioned Ambrose Alli University as a world-class institution, and commended her exceptional vision, resilience, and dedication to academic excellence and student welfare. He acknowledged that her support went beyond mere goodwill, it was a demonstration of genuine investment in the growth and success of Nigerian students and their leaders.
The National Director of Sports further used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to the students of Ambrose Alli University and to the broader student community across Nigeria, pledging that the trust and support shown to him would be repaid through dedicated, impactful, and student-centred service in his new capacity.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Eunice Omonzejie, warmly received the delegation and acknowledged the visit with great delight. She noted with pride that NANS National had affectionately bestowed upon her the title of "Tyre Rubber VC" a recognition of her resilience, strength, and enduring commitment to her students and institution, which she received with warmth and good humour.
Prof. Mrs. Omonzejie reaffirmed her continued support for NANS and expressed her genuine interest in the welfare and progress of Nigerian students at every level. She commended the National Director of Sports for the gesture of returning to express gratitude, describing it as a mark of good character and strong leadership values.
The University management equally pledged their continued collaboration, support, and partnership with the Office of the National Director of Sports, as both parties expressed a shared commitment to working together for the advancement of Nigerian students.
The visit ended on a note of warmth, mutual respect, and a firm resolve to build an enduring and productive partnership between the Office of the National Director of Sports, NANS National, and the management of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
