My dear fellow Yoruba students,
I stand before you today, humbled and honored to accept the responsibility of serving as your National President. I am grateful for the trust you've placed in me, and I pledge to work tirelessly to justify that trust.
As we embark on this NEW ERA, I envision a Yoruba Student Council of Nigeria that is vibrant, inclusive, and empowering. We will prioritize cultural reawakening, celebrating our rich Yoruba heritage and promoting our unique identity. We will expand educational opportunities, ensuring that every student has access to quality resources and support. We will prioritize student welfare, providing a platform for students to thrive and succeed.
Effective representation will be a cornerstone of our administration. We will amplify student voices, ensuring that your concerns are heard and addressed at all levels. We will foster entrepreneurship and development, equipping students with the skills and resources needed to excel in an ever-changing world.
To take our council to the next level, I promise to work tirelessly to bring in sponsors and partners who will help us achieve our goals. Specifically, we will focus on:
- Constructing a national secretariat that will serve as a hub for our activities and a symbol of our unity
- Establishing scholarships that will empower our students to excel academically
- Providing entrepreneurship empowerment programs that will equip our students with the skills and resources needed to succeed
To facilitate our operations and reach all state chapters, we will also work towards acquiring a bus that will ease transportation and enable us to mobilize our members effectively.
I pledge to work closely with our stakeholders, sponsors, and partners to ensure that these promises become a reality. Together, we will build a brighter future for all Yoruba students in Nigeria.
